LAKE CHARLES – McNeese returns to Joe Dumars Court at the Legacy Center on Saturday afternoon looking to snap a two-game skid when it hosts Houston Christian University in Southland Conference men's basketball action.

Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30. The game will broadcast live on ESPN+.

McNeese (5-12, 2-2 SLC) is coming off an 89-75 loss at Northwestern State on Thursday night. In that game, the Cowboys led 35-34 at the half and built a seven-point second-half lead before the Demons caught fire from three-point range, where they connected on 7 of 11 in the half. Those bombs helped NSU put together a 24-8 run to build a double-digit lead three-quarters through the half.

Johnathan Massie led five Cowboys in double-figures with a career-high 18 points. Christian Shumate added 15, Trae English 14, Zach Scott 13 and Harwin Francois 11. It's the third time in four conference games where all five starters scored in double-digits.

HCU (5-12, 2-2) defeated Texas A&M-Commerce 68-59 at home in its last outing. The Huskies were led in scoring by Brycen Long's 21 points followed by Maks Klanjscek's 19.
