FRISCO, Texas – McNeese fall athletic programs had 103 student-athletes named to the 2022 Southland Conference Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll, the league office announced on Tuesday.
 
A total of 788 student-athletes from across 47 teams and five sports were recognized. Fall sports from the Southland include football, men's and women's cross country, women's soccer and women's volleyball.
 
The 103 Cowboys and Cowgirls listed ranked as the second-most in the league next to UIW's 122 honorees.
 
The Southland Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) in the semester of their respective sport.

Of the 788 students named to the list, 20.3 percent (160) held a flawless 4.0 GPA throughout the fall term.
 
The Cowboy football team had 60 student-athletes named to the team including nine with a 4.0 grade point average. Cowgirl soccer landed 20 on the team (two with a 4.0), volleyball with 13 (two with a 4.0), women's cross country with six (three at 4.0), and men's cross country with four.
