CORPUS CHRISTI – McNeese will look to stop the bleeding on Saturday when the Cowboys ride a six-game losing streak into the home of the Southland Conference preseason No. 1 pick Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders.
Not only will the Cowboys (5-16, 2-6 SLC) look at halting their season losing streak, they'll also look to put an end to a 13-game skid against the Islanders (12-9, 5-3). The Cowboys last win over AMCC occurred 11 years ago (Jan. 10, 2012) with a 75-51 win in Lake Charles. McNeese swept the season series that season, beating the Islanders 71-69 on Jan. 7, 2012 for the last victory in Corpus Christi.
Tip-off for Saturday's game will be at 3:30. ESPN Plus will broadcast the game live while the McNeese Radio Network will carry it on the airwaves at Magic 92.1 FM and mymagiclc.com.

ABOUT AMCC:
• The Islanders, last year's SLC Tournament champion, was the preseason favorite to win the regular season title.
• AMCC snapped a two-game losing streak by beating Nicholls 96-86 on Thursday night.
• 9-1 at home this season with the only loss coming at the hands of Southeastern, 85-82 in overtime.
• Return all five starters from last year's team including senior forward Isaac Mushila who leads the league in rebounding (9.8) and is 11
th in scoring (14.6).

• Southeastern is alone in first place in the league standings at 6-2 but four teams closely follow at 5-3 – Northwestern State, A&M-Corpus Christi, Nicholls, A&M-Commerce.
• HCU sits alone in sixth place at 4-4 while UIW and New Orleans are tied for the 7/8 spot at 3-5.
