Bailey Tillman has been named the Southland Conference Volleyball "Defensive Player of the Week", the league announced Monday afternoon.
Tillman, the native of Sugar Land, Texas is coming off a week where she helped the Cowgirls to SLC straight set wins over Northwestern State and Houston Christian to put the Cowgirls in sole possession of third place.
For the week, Tillman averaged 7.67 digs per set after picking up a match high 25 digs in the win over Northwestern State. She ended the week with another match high of 21 digs in the win over Houston Christian last Saturday.
With those two matches with double figure digs, Tillman has now recorded 10 or more digs in 17 matches and 20 or more digs in nine matches including the last four match with 20 or more.
