LAKE CHARLES- McNeese volleyball, who sits in third place in the Southland Conference standings, will begin the second half of conference action by hosting second place Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Thursday night in the final match of its three-match home stand. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m. at the Legacy Center. The match will air on ESPN+.  Â

The Cowgirls (9-13, 7-2 SLC) enter the match having won seven of their last nine matches and will look to avenge a straight set loss to the Islanders on Sept. 30 in Corpus Christi. McNeese is coming off straight set wins over Northwestern State and Houston Christian last week.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (13-8, 8-1 SLC) enters the match on a seven-match winning streak with its lone conference loss coming at home against league leading Southeastern on Sept. 23. The Islanders sit in second place, a half match behind Southeastern and one match ahead of McNeese.

Following Thursday's match, the Cowgirls will travel to New Orleans Saturday for a 1 p.m. match. The next home match for the Cowgirls will be Oct. 26 against Incarnate Word.
