LAKE CHARLES- McNeese women's basketball will continue its home stand this weekend by hosting its inaugural MTE, welcoming Wisconsin- Milwaukee, Mississippi Valley State, and UL-Monroe to Lake Charles for the three-day event beginning Thursday.
The MTE will consist of two game each day with games scheduled for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Saturday's schedule has games at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
McNeese (1-1) will play the late game on all three days beginning with Mississippi Valley State (0-2) at 7 p.m. Thursday night. On Friday, the Cowgirls will take on Wisconsin-Milwaukee (0-2) and close out the MTE with a 4 p.m. game against UL-Monroe (1-1).
McNeese enters the MTE with three players averaging in double figures with
Mireia Yespes leading the way with 14.0 ppg. Yespes also leads the team with 7.0 rpg.
Azjah Reeves (12.5 ppg.) and
Cristina Gil (10.0 ppg.) are also averaging in double figures.
