LAKE CHARLES- McNeese women's basketball will face its second Top 20 ranked team when the Cowgirls travel to Manhattan, Kansas to face No. 13/16 K-State Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. with the game streamed on Big12 Now on ESPN+. It will be the first meeting between the two teams.

McNeese (3-5) is coming off a 102-28 home win over Ecclesia in its last game played on Nov. 26.

Four Cowgirls enter the game averaging in double figures with
Emilia Tenbrock leading the way with 12.3 ppg.Â
Mireia Yespes is averaging 10.3 ppg. despite missing the last two games due to an injury.Â
Azjah Reeves and
Cristina Gil are both averaging 10.0 ppg.

Julia Puente leads McNeese with 5.9 rpg. with Yespes pulling down 5.5 rpg. Â Â

K-State (7-1) is the second of three nationally ranked teams the Cowgirls will play this season. McNeese will travel to currently No. 4 LSU next Tuesday. McNeese lost to then No. 14 Baylor on Nov. 24.

The Wildcats' lone loss of the season was 77-70 to No. 4 Iowa at the Gulf Coast Showcase on Nov. 26. Wins by the K-State have come against at then No. 2 Iowa on Nov. 16, Wisconsin, and then No. 18 North Carolina.

K-State is coming off a 79-37 win over Jackson State last Friday. Ayoka Lee (18.5 ppg.) and Serena Sundell (10.5 ppg.) and the only two Wildcats averaging in double figures. Lee also leads the team with 7.6 rpg.
