LAKE CHARLES—Come Thursday night, one team will snap its losing streak and will move one step closer to clinching a Southland Conference Tournament berth when McNeese looks to halt its four-game losing skid and Houston Christian will look to end its three-game losing streak in a 5 p.m. contest in Houston, Texas.
Â
With three regular season games remaining McNeese (9-17, 6-9 SLC) and HCU (11-15, 6-9) both enter the game tied for 7
th place in the league standings. A win over the Huskies will be huge should the Cowgirls end in a tie in the league standings for a spot in the SLC Tournament since McNeese defeated HCU 69-54 in their first meeting in Lake Charles on Jan. 14.
Â
Paris Mullis continues to come off the bench to lead the Cowgirls in scoring (9.0 ppg.) and
Divine Tanks continues to lead in rebounds (6.3 rpg.).
Â
HCU is also looking to end a losing streak (three games) following its 55-53 home loss to Lamar last Saturday.
Â
The Huskies currently have three players averaging in double figures with N'Denasija Collins leading the way with 14.4 ppg. Collins also leads the team with 7.7 rpg.
