WBB: Cowgirls Travel To Southeastern Saturday Looking To Clinch Tournament Berth

LAKE CHARLES—With two games remaining, McNeese women's basketball enters Saturday's 1 p.m. game at Southeastern in a seventh-place tie with Northwestern State.  A win by the Cowgirls on Saturday would clinch a Southland Conference Tournament spot.  The game will broadcast on ESPN3 and on the McNeese Radio Network (Cajun Radio 1470 AM).
 
McNeese picked up a much needed win on Thursday when the Cowgirls defeated Houston Christian 65-60 to improve to 10-17 overall and 7-9 in the SLC.
 
The Cowgirls will look to avenge a 72-64 overtime loss to Southeastern earlier this month. 
 
Paris Mullis continues to come off the bench to lead the Cowgirls in scoring (9.2 ppg.) and Divine Tanks continues to lead in rebounds (6.4 rpg.).
 
Southeastern enters the game in a first-place tie with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is coming off a 66-54 road loss at Lamar on Thursday that snapped a Lion six game winning streak.
 
Hailey Giaratano who led the Lions with 23 points in the win in Lake Charles, is averaging 12.7 ppg. while Alexius Horne is averaging 12.2 ppg. Natalie Kelly leads the Lions in rebounds with 8.4 per contest.
