HAMMOND—McNeese women's basketball fell 67-50 to Southeastern Saturday in its final road game of the season to fall to 10-18 overall and 7-10 in the SLC.
With loss and other results around the league, McNeese will enter its regular season game at home against New Orleans in a three-way for sixth place with UNO and Northwestern State.
Divine Tanks led the Cowgirls with her 13
th career double double (14 pts., 12 reb.) while
Paris Mullins added 13 points, and
Desirae Hansen ended the game with 10 points.
Southeastern remained in a first place tie with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with the win, was led in scoring by Alexius Horne's 14 points. Natalie Kelly led all players with a game high 17 rebounds.
McNeese held a 31-29 halftime lead but the Lions would outscore McNeese 38-19 in the second half include 16-7 in the final quarter.
After shooting 42.3 percent from the field (11 of 26) and 45.5 (5 of 11) from three-point range in the first half, McNeese shot 15.8 (3 of 19) percent from the field and were 1 of 2 from behind the arc in the second half.
McNeese will conclude the regular season next Wednesday, March 1 when the host New Orleans in its home finale and on Senior Day.
