WBB: Cowgirls Host UNO On Senior Night

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball will host New Orleans in its regular season finale and on Senior Night at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Legacy Center. 
 
Seniors Le'Shenae Stubblefield, Stephanie Guihon, Alicja Falkowska, Zuzanna Kulinska, Divine Tanks, and Desirae Hanson will be honored prior to the game.
 
McNeese (10-18, 7-10 SLC) enters the game in a three-way tie for sixth place with NW State and UNO and will be looking to clinch a spot in next week's Southland Conference Tournament which will begin Sunday at the Legacy Center.
 
New Orleans (8-18, 7-10 SLC) made a late push and have won four of its last six games and are playing for a tournament spot as well.
 
The Privateers defeated the Cowgirls 65-59 in New Orleans on Feb. 11.
 
NOTES
- McNeese will close out the regular season against UNO on Senior Day
- Seniors (Le'Shenae Stubblefield, Stephanie Guihon, Alicja Falkowska, Zuzanna Kulinska, Divine Tanks, and Desirae Hansen) will be honored prior to the game.
- A win by the Cowgirls will clinch a spot in next week's Southland Conference Tournament. A loss tonight and the final spots will be determined by a tiebreaker.
 - UNO leads the all-time series 24-16 but McNeese has won two of the last three meetings.  UNO defeated McNeese 65-59 on Feb. 11 in New Orleans.
  - McNeese leads the league in steals (9.8) and defensive rebounds (27.5), are second in assists (14.2), third in rebounds (38.0) and blocks (3.2), fourth in scoring (64.3) and field goal percent (42.1), and fifth in 3-pt. field goal percent (31.2).
- Paris Mullins continues to come off the bench to lead McNeese in scoring (9.4 ppg.) and is coming off a 13-point game at Southeastern last Saturday.
- Divine Tanks continues to lead the team with 6.6 rpg.  Tanks currently ranks seventh in SLC games with a 48.3 field goal percent and ninth in rebounds (7.2).  She moved into fourth place in McNeese career rebound leaders with 10 against Southeastern on Feb. 9.
- Desirae Hansen continues to lead the SLC in 3 pt. FG made per game (2.2) and ranks third in three-point field goal percent (43.7) and assists (3.5) in SLC games.  Hansen scored 13 points against Southeastern on Feb. 9 to reach her 1500th career point.
- Alicja Falkowska ranks third in blocks with1.3 in SLC games.
-Le'Shenae Stubblefield leads the SLC in steals (2.9) in SLC games.
