BATON ROUGE- No. 10/15 LSU softball broke a 2-2 tie with four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on its way to a 6-2 win over McNeese Tuesday night.

McNeese falls to 19-10 overall and LSU improves to 24-5 with the win.

Erin Ardoin led McNeese at the plate with a 2 for 3 appearance including a double and a run scored. The other Cowgirl hits came from
Alayis Seneca and
Mariana Torres.

LSU ended the game with 12 hits with Danieca Coffey going 3 for 4 with. Triple.

LSU took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning on five hits off Cowgirl starter
Whitney Tate who took the loss, falling to 9-2 on the season.

The Cowgirls got on the board in third inning when
Erin Ardoin doubled down the third base line with two outs then scored on a single to center by Seneca.

Torres tied the game at two apiece in the fourth inning with her second home run of the season with a leadoff home run.

The Tigers responded with four runs on five hits in the fourth inning and two Cowgirl pitching changes to take a 6-2 lead.

LSU pitcher Raelin Chaffin (3-1) held McNeese to two hits in the final three innings to pick up the complete game win.

McNeese will return home this weekend to host Texas A&M-Commerce in a Southland Conference series on Friday that will broadcast on ESPN+.
