LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's tennis will travel to Southeastern on Thursday for a 3 p.m. match followed by an 11 a.m. match at Northwestern State on Sunday.

McNeese (12-2, 2-0 SLC) is off to its best Southland Conference start since the 2018 following its SLC opening wins against New Orleans and Nicholls last weekend.

The Cowgirls will look to continue this play when they will travel to Hammond on Thursday to face Southeastern (6-7 0-2 SLC). The Lions dropped its conference opening matches on the road at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and UIW last weekend.

Northwestern State (8-7, 0-2 SLC) is also coming off road losses at UIW and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi last weekend.

Maria Wang Martinez continues to lead McNeese in wins with a 13-1 overall record while four other players have nine wins.Â
