LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball, the No. 6 seed in the 2023 Jersey Mike's Southland Conference Championship presented by LouisianaTravel.com will open tournament play against No. 7 seed New Orleans at 1:30 p.m. Monday, March 6 at the Legacy Center. The first six games of the tournament will broadcast live on ESPN+ while the championship game on Thursday, March 9 will broadcast on ESPNU.
 
Session tickets are $35 for reserved and $20 for general admission. Each session includes two games until the championship contests. Courtside seating is also available for $50. Championship game tickets are $35/reserved and $20/general admission for each game. Group general admission tickets are also available for $10 per ticket with a minimum of 10 purchased. Tickets for the tournament can be purchased on the McNeeseSports.com website.
 
McNeese (11-18) is making its 23^rd tournament appearance and second under second year head coach Lynn Kennedy.
 
 
McNEESE NOTES
• UNO leads the all-time series 24-17 but McNeese has won four of the last six meetings. 
 
• McNeese enters the tournament leading the league in steals (9.8) and defensive rebounds (28.1), are second in field goal percent (42.4), assists (13.9), rebounds (38.6), fourth in scoring (63.7), and blocks (3.2) and fifth in 3-pt. field goal percent (30.6).
 
• Paris Mullins continues to come off the bench to lead McNeese in scoring (9.2 ppg.).
 
• Divine Tanks continues to lead the team with 6.76 rpg.  Tanks currently ranks fifth in SLC games with a 50.0 field goal percent and eighth in rebounds (7.2).  She moved into fourth place in McNeese career rebound leaders with 10 against Southeastern on Feb. 9.
 
• Desirae Hansen is tied for the league lead in SLC games in 3 pt. FG made per game (2.2), is tied for second with 1.3 assist per game, and is third in three-point field goal percent (43.0).  Hansen scored 13 points against Southeastern on Feb. 9 to reach her 1500th career point.
 
• Alicja Falkowska ranks fourth in blocks with 1.2 in SLC games.
 
• Le'Shenae Stubblefield is tied in the SLC in steals (2.9) in SLC games.
