LAKE CHARLES- McNeese women's tennis was named as an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team, the organization announced Monday.

To be named an ITA All-Academic team, a program must have a 3.2 GPA or above on a 4.00 scale.

McNeese posted a 3.82 overall team GPA with seven players posting at least a 3.50 GPA for the 2022-23 academic year, who were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.

Ariane Monlleo Sanchis posted a perfect 4.00 GPA followed by
Natalia Ballo (3.916), Aina Bernebeu Dominguez (3.906),
Tiana Fox (3.903),
Luna Jokanovic (3.818), Emma-Lou Pommers (3.714), and
Heta Nuutinen (3.50).

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

A total of 234 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction while 1,513 Division I Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
