LAKE CHARLES – Delisa Clark, a 20-year veteran in working with young adults and a McNeese State University graduate, has been named Coordinator of Athletic Study Lab for Student-Athlete Services for McNeese Athletics, Director of Athletics Heath Schroyer announced on Friday.
Clark will manage the athletic study lab as well as assist and mentor student-athletes with Moodle, study skills, organization skills and tutoring opportunities. She'll also perform class checks and will manage student workers.
"I'm beyond excited to have Delisa Clark join our team," said Schroyer. "Delisa is a true educator at heart and has a passion for McNeese and our student-athletes. The success of our student-athletes in the classroom has been and will continue to be a major priority to me. Adding Delisa to our team continues to help us grow and serve our great student-athletes."

Megan Soileau, Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Services. "This position is vital to our department and our athletic programs as it allows our student-athletes to have someone available to assist them immediately while in the study lab.
"Delisa is a perfect fit for this position with her history of helping young adults and her connection to McNeese as an alum. We are excited to kick-off this semester with her in this role and on our team."
Prior to joining the McNeese staff, Clark spent nearly 20 years as a probation and parole officer for juveniles with the State of Louisiana of Public Safety and Corrections Office of Juvenile Services. She's also worked as a child welfare specialist.
