Twisted Vines Lawn & Landscaping, a locally owned and operated business by former McNeese football letterman Ryan Boyd, has signed a corporate sponsorship with the McNeese Athletics Foundation as the Official Landscaping Company of McNeese Athletics, Director of Athletics Heath Schroyer has announced.
Â
A Baton Rouge native, Boyd arrived in Lake Charles in 1999 when he began his college career at McNeese as a tight end and also where he met his future wife, former Cowgirl softball player Megan Knippa Boyd. His son, Reed, is a freshman tight end on this year's football team.
Â
"It's truly an honor to be the Official Landscaping Company of McNeese Athletics," said Boyd. "We have worked very hard over the years to have a great reputation within our community and we are so fortunate and happy to support McNeese Athletics for the upcoming years."
Â
Twisted Vines Lawn & Landscaping provides residential and commercial services as well as irrigation, fountain installation, fence and deck staining, and Christmas and event lighting installation and storage.
Â
"I'm so pumped to add Twisted Vines to our corporate sponsorship team," said Schroyer. "Ryan is an alum, a former Cowboy football player and he bleeds blue and gold. I love their work and I'm very excited to have them on board."
Â
"I'm very proud of our community and of McNeese State University," said Boyd. "I'm excited to continue to be a part of an athletic program that I've been fortunate to be a part of for many years and to see all the improvements that have taken place over the last 25 years. I cannot wait to see what the future holds and hope to be a part of the MAF family for a long time."
Â
Twisted Vines is located at 2846 Country Club Road in Lake Charles. Boyd and his team can be contacted at 337-274-2267 or via online at www.twistedvineslc.com.
