LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball (1-9) will begin Southland Conference action this Thursday when the Cowgirls travel to Commerce, Texas to face Texas A&M-Commerce (4-7) in a 6:30 p.m. match. The match will broadcast on ESPN+. McNeese will remain on the road on the weekend to take part in the UT-Arlington Invitational where they will face host UT-Arlington (7-2) on Friday and North Texas (4-6) on Saturday.

The Cowgirls were picked to finish fourth in the preseason poll while the Lions were picked to finish seventh.

McKenzie Moore and freshman
Megan Grose will lead the Cowgirls into the weekend with Moore having a team high 108 kills and 27 blocks on the year. Grose, the SLC "Setter of the Week" had 330 assists to her credit. Both Moore and Grose lead the team with nine aces apiece.

As a result of the WNBA's Dallas Wings hosting a playoff game at the College Park Center, the home arena for the UT-Arlington volleyball, the tournament has been moved to the Arlington ISD Athletics Center.
