LAKE CHARLES-- McNeese women's basketball, under third year head coach
Lynn Kennedy will officially begin practice for the 2023-24 season on Monday, Sept. 25 from 1-3 p.m. The Cowgirls will host Dillard in its season opener on Nov. 6 in an 11 a.m. game. All practices are open to the public.
"We are looking foward to Monday which for us starts the second phase of the fall to get ready for November," said head coach
Lynn Kennedy. "The players have been working hard in all areas and next week we will get to see the first glimpse of putting it all together in a full practice.
"For anyone who loves basketball, its is a great time of the year. We are a little over a month away from tipping it off back in the Legacy."
The Cowgirls return six letterwinners from a season ago that includes
Cristina Gil, Mirea Yespes,
Marta Hermoso,
Clara Rosini,
Grace Wener,
Gabrielle Wener along with nine newcomers. The newcomers include
Azjah Reeves,
Crystal Hayes, Julie Puente, Ana Cabañas Llorens,
Alva Mofalk, Helena Glunic,
Boston Berry,
Emilia Tenbrock, and
Daniela Vallecilla.
