LAKE CHARLES-  McNeese women's basketball will look to bounce back from its disappointing SLC home opening 77-63 overtime loss to Southeastern last Saturday when the Cowgirls will travel to Corpus Christi, Texas Thursday night for a 7 p.m. tilt against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.  The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and fans can listen to Bruce Merchant calling all the action on TalkRadio 1470am.  The Cowgirls will continue its road swing at Incarnate Word Saturday for a 2 p.m. game.  
 
McNeese (4-13, 0-4 SLC) will play its third and fourth straight game against one of the top four teams in the SLC standings.  Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (10-5, 3-1 SLC) enters the weekend in third place.  UIW (9-6, 2-2 SLC), who the Cowgirls will face on Saturday, enters its Thursday night home game against Nicholls in a fourth-place tie with three other teams.
 
The Cowgirls will look to pick up its first win in Corpus Christi since 2011 when the Cowgirls walked away with a 76-51 win.  The last Cowgirl win over the Islanders came in 2022 with a 76-65 win in Lake Charles.
