LAKE CHARLES— McNeese women's tennis will open the 2024 season this weekend beginning with its home opener set for 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19 in a doubleheader against Prairie View.  The Cowgirls will continue its weekend with matches in New Orleans.  McNeese will travel to Tulane on Saturday with this match set for 1 p.m.  The Cowgirls will conclude its opening weekend at Dillard on Sunday in a 2 p.m. match.
 
Second year head coach Gabby Moore returns six players from a team that posted a 15-6 overall record and 4-3 conference record.
 
Returning for the 2024 season are seniors Natalia Ballo, Aina Domingo-Bernabeu, Emma-Lou Pommiers, juniors Tiana Fox, Ariane Monlleo Sanchis, and sophomore Maria Wang Martinez.  Newcomers include Hillsborough Community College transfer Arina Gamretkaia and freshman Anastasija Adeikyte.
