LAKE CHARLES— McNeese women's tennis will travel to Denton, Texas this weekend for two matches beginning with a 10 a.m. match against Southeastern Oklahoma on Friday.  The Cowgirls will face North Texas at 11 a.m. Saturday in a match that will be streamed and will have live stats.  Links can be found on the women's tennis page on mcneesesports.com.
 
McNeese is coming off a season opening 3-1 record with its wins coming against Prairie View and Dillard.  The Cowgirls' loss was at Tulane last Saturday.
 
Freshman Anastasija Adeikyte, who was named the Southland's "Player of the Week" began her collegiate career with a 7-0 record.  Adeikyte was 4-0 in singles play and 3-0 as part as the Cowgirls' No. 1 doubles team.
 
Tiana Fox ended the weekend with a 3-0 singles record while Natalia Ballo was 2-0 in singles.
 
Both Southeastern Oklahoma and North Texas will open their seasons this weekend.  Southeastern Oklahoma posted a 9-13 record last season while the Mean Green were 11-12 last season.
