VB: Cowgirls Host UNO In Second of Three Straight Home Matches

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball (4-10, 0-2 SLC) returns to action Saturday in the second of three straight home matches.  The Cowgirls will host New Orleans (2-13, 0-3 SLC) at 1 p.m. in its Alumni Match.  All alumni in attendance will be recognized between sets two and three.  The match will be streamed on ESPN+
 
The Cowgirls are coming off its SLC home opening loss to league leading Southeastern on Thursday, falling in four sets.
 
UNO is coming off a straight set road loss at Nicholls on Thursday.  McNeese will host Nicholls nest Tuesday.
 
MATCH NOTES
• It's the second of three straight home matches
• It's alumni day and McNeese will recognize its alumni in attendance between sets two and three
• Cowgirls will look to snap a five-match losing streak following its 3-1 Southland Conference home opening loss against Southeastern on Thursday
• McNeese leads the series 24-3 and are 14-0 at home against the Privateers
• McNeese was picked sixth in the preseason poll while the Privateers were picked 12th.
• Senior McKenzie Moore continues to lead the team with 212 kills and is coming off a match high 19 against Southeastern.  Moore is also second on the team with 33 blocks and third with 124 digs.
Megan Grose leads McNeese with 279 assists
Lacie Schooley leads the team with 11 aces
Naterah Moore leads the Cowgirls with 41 blocks
Bailey Tillman has a team high 232 digs and moved into fourth place in McNeese career digs at Texas A&M-Commerce on Sept. 28.  Tillman enters Saturday's match with 1,599 digs, needing 103 to move into third place.

Picked to finish 12th in the preseason poll
UNO enters the match having lost its last eight matches
• The Privateers have lost their last 15 sets and 22 of their last 25 sets
• UNO is coming off a 3-0 road loss at Nicholls on Thursday
• The two teams will meet against next Thursday in New Orleans
