LAKE CHARLES-- McNeese volleyball's season came to an end Saturday on senior day with a 3-1 (19-25, 25-19, 25-18,25-18) loss to Stephen F. Austin, ending the season with a 10-18 overall record and 6-10 conference record.
Seniors Taylor Edwards,
McKenzie Moore,
Lacie Schooley,
Kendall Osgood, and
Bailey Tillman were honored prior to the match.
Stephen F. Austin ends the regular season with a 22-7 overall and 14-2 conference record and will be the No. 3 seed in next week's Southland Conference Tournament in Hammond.
McNeese opened the match by taking the first set 25-19 behind a team .344 hitting percent. The Ladyjacks went on to win the next three sets to seal the win.
Moore led the Cowgirls with a double double (26 kills, 14 digs), her 11th double double this season. Moore ends her career with 1,007 kills, 61 aces, 456 digs, and 260 blocks.
Megan Grose led all players with 39 assists to give her 1,348 on the season. Grose also picked up 12 digs for her fifth double double this season.
Osgood also picked up 12 digs to end her career with 880 digs and 76 aces.
Tillman ended her final match as a Cowgirl with seven digs and eight assists. She ends her career ranked second in career digs with 1,841 career digs.
