LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball will open the 2024-25 season on Monday, Nov. 4 at 11 a.m. against Southeastern Baptist College in its annual kid's game.  Several elementary kids from Calcasieu Parish will be in attendance.  The gamewill be streamed on ESPN+.
 
 
Concessions will be cashless for all home basketball games.
 
 
Last season, 3,533 elementary kid's were in attendance to see the Cowgirls' home opening 76-47 win over Dillard which is the second largest Cowgirl crowd since the opening of the Legacy Center.
 
The game is one of 15 home games for the Cowgirls this season and it's the first of three straight home games.  The Cowgirls will also host College of Biblical Studies in a doubleheader with the Cowboys next Thursday, Nov. 7 then North American University on Sunday, Nov. 10.
 
Fourth year head coach Lynn Kennedy returns five letterwinners from last year including Azjah Reeves, Julia Puente, Alva Mofalk, Mireia Yespes, and Boston Berry along with redshirt freshman Daniella Vallecilla.
 
Kennedy's 2024-25 squad includes eight newcomers including one freshman. New to the team are transfers (Paris Guillory, Avery Young, Tyrielle Williams, Sydney McQuietor, Kiayra Ellis, Wilnie Joseph, and Kyla Davis).  The lone freshman on the team is Lyla Kahrimanovic.
