LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball (2-0), will look to get off to its first 3-0 start when the Cowgirls host North American University (2-0) Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Legacy Center.  The last team to start 3-0 was the 1997-98 team who started the season 4-0.  The game will mark the final game of a three-game home stand.
 
The Cowgirls opened their season against Southeastern Baptist College on Monday with a 99-19 win then followed that with a 105-35 win against College of Biblical Studies Thursday night that saw the Cowgirls set a record for most points in a half (77) and most steals in a game (28).
 
Four Cowgirls enter Sunday's game averaging in double figures.  Lyla Kahrimanovic is averaging 14.5 ppg, Azjah reeves (14.0 ppg.), Julia Puente (11.5 ppg.), and Mireia Yespes (10.5 ppg.).  Kahrimanovic also leads the team with 6.5 rpg.
