STILLWATER, Okla.—A shorthanded McNeese women's basketball team fell 92-41 at Oklahoma State Monday night, dropping the Cowgirls to 5-6 on the season.
McNeese will host Southeastern at 1 p.m. this Saturday at the Legacy in the Cowgirls Southland Conference opener and final game in 2024.
In her second game as a Cowgirl,
Paris Guillory led McNeese for the second straight game, scoring 15 points on 4 of 13 from the field including 3 of 7 from three-point range. Guillory was perfect from the free throw line, making all four attempts.
Joining Guillory in double figure scoring was Ty Williams who chipped in with 10 points. Williams was 4 of 8 from the field with two threes.
Wilnie Joseph led the Cowgirls with five rebounds and
Daniela Vallecilla was credited with two blocks.
Oklahoma State (10-1) placed five players in double figures with Stacie Jones coming off the bench to lead all players with 18 points
Oklahoma State started the game by making their first three-pointers to take an early lead and led 18-8 after the first quarter and 34-16 at the half.
OSU outscored McNeese 58-25 in the second half and held as much as a 55-point lead with just over a minute left in the game.
McNeese struggled from the field for the second straight game, shooting 23.1 percent (12 for 52) from the field and connected on only five of its three-point attempts. The Cowgirls were nearly perfect from the free throw line where they made 12 of 14.
OSU dominated the boards 52-24 and scored 26 second chance points. OSU bench accounted for 44 of their 92 points with two players coming off the bench to score in double figures.
