LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball (4-3), will travel to Farmville, VA. this weekend (Friday-Sunday) to take part in the Shirley Duncan Classic, hosted by Longwood.
 
The Cowgirls will open tournament play at 1 p.m. (CST) Friday against William & Mary (1-6) then will face South Carolina State (1-8) at 5 p.m. Saturday before closing tournament play against Longwood (4-4) at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.  It will be the first ever meeting against all three teams for the Cowgirls.  All three games will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
Senior Mireia Yespes will lead the Cowgirls into the tournament as the leading scorer, averaging 10.3 ppg. and rebounder with 6.3 rpg.
 
William & Mary (1-6)
