LAKE CHARLES— McNeese softball will travel to Louisiana-Lafayette for a midweek contest Wednesday, first pitch is set for 6 p.m. at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park. The game will be streamed on ESPN+. It's the first of two meetings between the teams this season. The Cajuns will travel to Lake Charles on April 24.
McNeese (14-11) is coming off a non-conference home series win over Louisiana-Monroe last week while the Cajuns (14-12) have won their last five games including a 7-5 extra inning win over Oklahoma on March 3.
Crislyne Moreno leads the Cowgirls with a .350 batting average while
Samantha Mundine leads the team with 24 hits.
Corine Poncho leads the team with nine home runs, 19 runs scored, 16 RBI, and 14 walks.

Shaelyn Sanders has a staff low 2.21 ERA and six wins (6-5) and 49 strikeouts.
Ryann Schexnayder is 4-1 with a 2.70 ERA.
The Cajuns are led at the plate by Mihyia Davis' .405 average while Sophia Piskos has a team high five home runs and Victoria Valdez has 13 RBI.
Sam Landry leads the Cajuns with a 6-5 record and a 2.40 ERA, 63 strikeouts and 18 walks.
