LAKE CHARLES—McNeese beach volleyball will travel to Monroe this weekend to take part in the UL-Monroe Bayou Bash scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
 
McNeese (1-10) will open tournament action at 10:45 a.m. Friday morning against host UL-Monroe (3-5) then will end the day with a 4:15 p.m. match against Texas A&M-Kingsville (8-3).  The Cowgirls will play Missouri State (11-2) at 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning.  The Cowgirls will end tournament play against Nicholls (6-8, 0-0 SLC) at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in what will be the Southland Conference opening match for both teams.
 
The Cowgirls are coming off an 0-3 weekend at the Southeastern Invitational where the Cowgirls dropped its matches against Spring Hill College, Texas A&M-Kingsville, and Central Arkansas.
