WTEN: Cowgirls Host Southeastern Saturday

LAKE CHARLES--  McNeese women's tennis, recently ranked No. 69 by the ITA for the first time in program history, will return to the court for its final two home matches of the season beginning with a 2 p.m. match against Southeastern on Saturday, March 22. 
 
The Cowgirls will close out their home schedule against Northwestern State next Tuesday, March 26 at 1 p.m.  The match was originally scheduled for Monday, March 25 but due to possible inclement weather predicted for the area, the match was pushed back a day.
 
Seniors Emma-Lou Pommiers, Natalia Ballo, and Aina Domingo-Bernabeu will be honored at 12:30 p.m. prior to Tuesday match.
 
McNeese (15-1, 2-0 SLC) will carry a 13-match winning streak and undefeated home record (6-0) into Saturday' match against Southeastern (6-8, 1-2 SLC).
 
Four Cowgirls have won at least 10 matches this season with Anastasija Adeikyte at 13-0, Pommiers (13-1), Arina Gamretkaia (10-1), and Tiana Fox (10-2).  In doubles, Adeikyte and Gamretkaia are 15-1 on the season as the Cowgirls' No. 1 doubles team.  Bernabeu and Fox are 10-1 on the season as the No. 3 doubles team.
