LAKE CHARLES—No. 69 ranked McNeese women's tennis will close out its home schedule on Tuesday, March 26 against Northwestern State in a 1 p.m. Southland Conference match. Free crawfish will be available for all fans while supplies last.
The match is also Senior Day for seniors
Natalia Ballo,
Aina Domingo-Bernabeu, and
Emma-Lou Pommiers who will be honored at 12:30 p.m. prior to the match.
McNeese (16-1, 3-0 SLC) has the nation's second active longest winning streak (14 matches) behind top ranked Oklahoma State who is undefeated at 19-0 this season.
The Cowgirls sit atop the SLC standings with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi who is also 3-0 in league play following its win over UNO on Saturday.
Northwestern State enters the match 8-5 overall and 1-1 in the SLC. The Lady Demons are coming off a 4-3 loss at Lamar on Saturday.
Anastasija Adeikyte continues to pace the Cowgirls with an undefeated 14-0 singles record and has been teamed with
Arina Gamretkaia to produce a 16-1 doubles record this season.
Joining Adeikyte with 10 or more wins this season is Pommiers (14-1), Gamretkaia (11-1), and
Tiana Fox (10-2).
NW State is led by Sofi Garcia (9-4) and Maria Farina (8-3). Both players are undefeated at 2-0 in league play heading into the match.
