LAKE CHARLES – McNeese softball returns to Southland Conference play Thursday and Friday with a three-game series at Northwestern State.  First pitch Thursday is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday's doubleheader is slated for 1 p.m. All games will stream on ESPN+.

McNeese (20-13, 5-1 SLC) will carry a five-game winning streak into Natchitoches following a 3-2 road win at South Alabama on Tuesday. 

NW State (14-20, 2-7 SLC) was picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll.  The Lady Demons are coming off a 2-1 SLC series loss at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi where they won the second game of the series 7-4.
Alexis Dibbley leads the Cowgirls at the plate with a .338 average with 24 hits, 10 RBI, and three homeruns.

Samantha Mundine is batting .327 with a team high 33 hits and is second on the team with 19 RBI.

Crislyne Moreno (.325), Corine Poncho (.325), and Rylie Bouvier (.304) are also batting over .300.  Moreno leads the team with eight doubles and Poncho has a team high 11 homeruns.
