LAKE CHARLES-- McNeese women's tennis will travel to Beaumont, Texas Saturday for an 1 p.m. Southland Conference match.
McNeese (17-1, 4-0 SLC) is atop the league standings and is one of two teams undefeated in league play. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (16-2) is also undefeated in the SLC with a 3-0 conference record.
The Cowgirls who completed an undefeated home season (8-0) with a 5-2 win over Northwestern State on Tuesday, has the second longest active winning streak at 15 straight wins. Top ranked Oklahoma State is 20-0 on the season.
Lamar (9-8, 2-1 SLC) picked up its conference wins over Nicholls and Northwestern State while its conference loss was to New Orleans. The Lady Cardinals are coming off a 6-1 non-conference loss against Fordham.
Anastasija Adeikyte (15-0),
Emma-Lou Pommiers (14-2),
Arina Gamretkaia (12-1), and
Tiana Fox (10-2) all have double digit wins on the season. Adeikyte and Gamretkaia are 16-2 in doubles and Fox and
Aina Domingo-Bernabeu are 10-2 in doubles play.
