LAKE CHARLES, La. – McNeese Baseball (20-21, 4-10 SLC) will face Southeastern (22-20, 4-10 SLC) in a rubber match Sunday after the latter took the second game of the series 12-3 at Joe Mille Ballpark Saturday afternoon.

A pitching duel through the first three innings, both teams put up their first runs of the game in the fourth inning. The Lions scored first in the top of the frame before senior
Parker Stroh hit his second homer of the season to tie up the ballgame. Southeastern took the lead in the fifth with a five-run inning.

Poke Nation tacked on its second run in the bottom of the seventh on a sacrifice fly by
Chase Keeton (R-Senior) to bring junior
Conner Westenburg across home. The Lions plated three more in the top of the eighth before the Pokes plated another to make it a 9-3 game.

The Lions scored three runs in the top of the ninth to end scoring for both teams in the game.
Stroh and
Grant Mangrum, a junior, each hit a home run in the outing while collecting the two multiple-hit games for the Pokes with two hits each.

Both squads meet in the final game of the series Sunday afternoon with first pitch set for 1:00 p.m.
