McNeese Athletics has announced Poke Nation Fan Fest for August 17 in the concourse of the Legacy Center.
 
The event will run from 10 a.m.-noon. Fans will be able to pick up their football season tickets and parking passes as well as meet and take pictures with the Cowboy football players.
 
Also in attendance will be the Cowgirl Kickers, McNeese Cheerleaders and Rowdy.
 
Fans will then be encouraged to attend the Cowgirl volleyball exhibition match against LSU beginning at noon and free of admission.
 
At 2:30, the Cowboys will hold an open practice in Cowboy Stadium.
 
McNeese will kick off its season on Saturday, August 24 at Tarleton State at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN2. The Cowboys will open up their home season on Aug. 31 against Southern.
 
Season tickets are still on sale by calling 337-562-4678 or online at McNeeseSports.com. Fans can also purchase at the Jack Doland Field House Ticket Office from 8-5 on weekdays.
