LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball will open its 2024 season this weekend at the South Alabama Jaguar Invitational, the first of four regular season tournaments this season.
 
The Cowgirls will open tournament play against Texas A&M at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31 before facing host South Alabama at 11 a.m. Sunday.
 
McNeese will conclude its road trip with an 11 a.m. match at Southern on Monday, Sept. 2.
 
 
MATCH NOTES
• It's the first of four regular season tournaments on the Cowgirls schedule
• Have five returnees
• Have 13 newcomers including four freshmen
• Cowgirls were picked to finish 6th in the 12-team Southland Conference standings
• Seniors Bailey Tillman (Libero) and McKenzie Moore (Outside Hitter) were named to the SLC Preseason Team as first team selections
• Tillman enters the 2024 season ranked seventh in McNeese career digs with 1,367.  The career leader is Jessica Strama (2004-07) with 2,148 career digs.
