 LAKE CHARLES—McNeese volleyball (4-5) will host travel to Nacogdoches, Texas this weekend to take part in the Stephen F. Austin Tournament beginning with a 10 a.m. match against UTSA Friday morning.  The Cowgirls will also play Boise State at 7 p.m. Friday before ending tournament action against Stephen F. Austin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
 
The Cowgirls are coming off a 3-2 five set home win against Tarleton State Tuesday afternoon that saw the Cowgirls fight off match point twice in the third set to pick up a 27-25 win to extend the match.  McNeese evened the match with the fourth set win that sent it to a deciding fifth set. 
 
In the fifth set, the Cowgirls came back from being down 11-7 to win 16-14 to complete the comeback.
 
 
MATCH NOTES
• It's the final of four regular season tournaments for the Cowgirls this season
• Cowgirls (4-5) are on a two-match winning streak following a come from behind five set home win against Tarleton State on Tuesday.
• McKenzie Moore enters the tournament as the Cowgirls kill (133) and blocks (27) leader.
• Moore is coming off match against Tarleton where she tied her career high with 28 kills
• In the last three matches, Megan Grose has recorded a triple double and two double doubles
• Grose leads McNeese with 212 assists
• Lacie Schooley leads the team with nine aces
• Bailey Tillman has a team best 148 digs and is currently fifth in McNeese career digs with 1,515, needing 40 to move into fourth place.
