WBB: Cowgirls Begin Three Game Homestand Against Nicholls

LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball (7-8, 2-2 SLC) returns home Saturday for the first time since Dec. 21 to host Nicholls, in the first of three straight home games for the Cowgirls.  Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Legacy and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
The Cowgirls return home on a two-game winning streak after its 61-51 road win at Houston Christian Thursday night.
 
Sophomore Paris Guillory continues to lead the Cowgirls in scoring (17.0 ppg.) while senior Mireia Yespes is pulling down a team high 7.7 rpg.
 
The Colonels (9-5, 2-3 SLC) snapped its two-game losing streak with a 68-57 road win at Incarnate Word Thursday.  Saturday's game will be the fourth straight road game for the Colonels.
 
Tanita Swift leads Nicholls in scoring (16.2 ppg.) and Elli Garnett leads the team with 5.6 rpg.
