FRISCO, Texas – McNeese fall athletic programs saw 109 athletes named to the 2024 Southland Conference Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll, the league office announced Wednesday.
A total of 1,216 student-athletes were recognized by the league across 57 teams, five sports, and 12 member institutions. Fall sports from the Southland include football, men's and women's cross country, women's soccer, and women's volleyball.
The Southland Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) in the semester of their respective sport.
Of the 1,216 students recognized by the league, 223 (18.3%) earned a flawless 4.0 GPA through the fall term.
The Cowboy football team had 58 student-athletes named to the team including eight with a 4.0 grade point average. Cowgirl soccer landed 27 on the team (three with a 4.0), volleyball with 12 (five with a 4.0), men's cross country with seven (one with a 4.0), and women's cross country with five.
