 LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball (8-12, 3-6 SLC) returns home Saturday, Jan. 30 to host Incarnate Word.  Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.  The game is one of three home games in the Cowgirls next four games and it will be the only regular season game against the Cardinals this season.
 
Thursday's game is Teacher Appreciation Night.  All Calcasieu Parish teachers can attend the game by purchasing a $5 General Admission ticket with a valid ID. 
 
McNeese will look to continue its momentum after snapping a four-game losing streak with a 59-54 road win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Monday. The Cowgirls will be without sophomore guard Azjah Reeves Thursday night, who will be serving a one-game suspension issued by the Southland Conference following her ejection in the first quarter of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi game on Monday.
 
UIW (11-8, 6-4 SLC) enter the game tied for fifth place in the SLC standings, which is where they were picked to finish in the preseason poll.  The Cardinals who are 2-6 on the road this season, have won four of last five games and are coming off a 58-55 road win at New Orleans on Monday

 
McNEESE NOTES
• It's the first of three home games in the next four games
• Snapped a four-game losing streak with its 59-54 road win at Texas A&M-CC on Monday
• Sisters- McNeese's Sydney McQuietor and UIW's Mallory McQuietor will be going against each other tonight.  Sydney is a senior and Mallory is a sophomore.
• Will be the 17th overall meeting against the Cardinals and the only meeting between the teams this season. 
• UIW leads the series 9-7 and have won the last three meetings and four out of the last five.

• Kiayra Ellis leads the SLC with 2.5 bpg. in conference games
• Paris Guillory leads the team in scoring (15.5 ppg.), ranks second in the SLC in 3pt. field goals per game (2.4), and ranks fourth in the SLC with 15.9 ppg. in conference games
• Since joining the team on Dec. 8, Guillory has scored in double figures in 10 of 11 games played.
• Senior Mireia Yespes leads the team in with 7.5 rpg. and ranks fourth in the SLC with 8.5 rpg. in conference games
