McNeese responded to its first loss of the season in record fashion on Monday night, handling the College of Biblical Studies with ease with a 132-50 win and for the second straight home game, set a record for points scored in the arena, coming just one week after scoring 127 in a win over Champion Christian.

It's the third-most points scored in a game in school history and the second-most scored in a win.

The Cowboys, now 2-1 on the season, also broke a 41-year-old single-game school record in shooting percentage, sinking 74.3 percent for the contest (52 of 70), and tied another school record with seven players scoring in double figures. The old record of 69.2 percent was set against Arkansas State in 1984.

Freshman transfer
Larry Johnson led the way with 25 points coming off the bench, hitting 10 of 11 shots which included five "Johnson Jams." He sank all five of his free throws to remain perfect on the season, now 21 of 21.

Reigning Southland Conference Player of the Year
Javohn Garcia added 19 points behind 8 of 10 shooting.
Carl Cherenfant scored 17 points,
Tyshawn Archie with 15, four assists and four steals;
Jerrell Colbert scored 14 points after hitting all seven of his field goal attempts; DJ Richards netted 13 points and was 3 for 5 from three-point range; and
Yanis Ndjonga added 10 points with eight rebounds.

Garwey Dual dished out 11 assists and
Jacolb Fredson-Cole led the team with nine rebounds and scored six points with six assists.

McNeese finished with 31 total assists on 52 made shots, and recorded 15 steals. The Cowboys scored 40 fast-break points, 39 points off 23 CBS turnovers, and added 86 points in the paint.

The Cowboys sank 20 of 22 for 91 percent at the free throw line and finished 8 for 18 for 44 percent from behind the arc.

CBS was led in scoring by Darion Ramos' 22 points after hitting seven three-pointers.

The Ambassadors were held to 27 percent shooting for the game (16 for 59) and McNeese out-rebounded CBS by a 49-17 margin.
