VB: Cowgirls Conclude Season This Week Against UNO and Southeastern

LAKE CHARLES--  McNeese volleyball will conclude its season this week by hosting New Orleans on Tuesday (6:30 p.m.) and Southeastern on Thursday (6:30 p.m.).
 
McNeese (7-19, 3-11 SLC) will look to sweep the Privateers after picking up a 3-2 win in New Orleans on Sept. 27.  The Cowgirls will look to even things up against Southeastern after dropping the first meeting to the Lady Lions on Sept. 25.

McNEESE NOTES
• Will conclude the season this week with tonight's match against New Orleans before the season finale against Southeastern on Saturday.
• Were eliminated from the SLC Tournament following its straight set loss at Nicholls last Saturday.
Kayla Wilson continues to lead the team in kills (275) and has recorded double figure kills in 11 of last 13 matches including a season high 23 against East Texas A&M on Oct. 18.  s.
Ava Henry leads the team with a .286 hitting percent and 50 blocks.  She is third on the team in kills (216).
Kinga Ziolkowska leads the team in assists (461) and service aces (22)
Lauren Fuller leads McNeese with 277 digs
D'Nari Mills is second on the team with 231 kills and 228 digs

 NEW ORLEANS
• Enter the match 8-19 overall and 3-11 in the SLC...tied for 9th place in the SLC standings with the Cowgirls.
• Will look to avenge a 3-2 home loss to the Cowgirls back on Sept. 27
• Snapped a seven match winning streak with a 3-0 home win over Lamar last Saturday.
 
SOUTHEASTERN
•Are coach by former McNeese head coach Lee McBride who is the Cowgirls all-time winningest coach.  McBride was also the Cowgirl head coach for the only SLC regular season title in 1997.
• Enter Tuesday's match at Nicholls tied for third place with Lamar and Incarnate Word with a 10-4 conference record and an 18-8 overall record.
• Enter the week having won seven of last 10 matches
• Have lost its last two matches to Lamar and SFA in five sets.
