FRISCO, Texas –McNeese defender
Alexi Pitt has been named First Team All-Southland Conference, the league office announced Monday morning, just one day before the start of the conference tournament.
A cornerstone of the Cowgirl defense, Pitt appeared in all 19 matches during the 2025 season, earning 16 starts and logging 1,191 minutes on the pitch. She made her mark on both ends of the field, scoring two goals including the game winner at Nicholls and finishing the year with four points. Alexi took 12 shots, placing eight on target, and was named Southland Conference Player of the Week following her standout two-goal performance.
Defensively, Pitt anchored a young McNeese back line that recorded shutouts against Southern and UTRGV, providing leadership and consistency throughout the campaign.
The McNeese Cowgirls (4-11-4, 3-5-2) will face the top-seeded Northwestern State Demons (12-4-3, 7-2-1) on Tuesday afternoon in the opening round of the Southland Conference Tournament.
