THIBODAUX—Three days after coming from behind to defeat Nicholls in a Southland Conference Volleyball match, McNeese's offense struggled and Nicholls' defense was scrappy the entire match here Saturday as the Colonels picked up their second conference win of the season with a straight set 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-14) win.
With the loss, McNeese is eliminated from the Southland Conference Tournament, falling to 7-19 overall and 3-11 in the SLC. Nicholls improves 12-15 overall and 2-12 in the SLC with the win.
McNeese will close out its season next week by hosting New Orleans next Tuesday and Southeastern next Thursday.
