McNEESE HOSTS BIBLICAL STUDIES, ULL THIS WEEK
• McNeese returns home for two games this week beginning Monday at 6:30 against College of Biblical Studies and ending with a Friday night showdown against Louisiana-Lafayette at 6 p.m. in Townsley Law arena.
• The Cowboys are 1-1 on the season and coming off a 79-67 loss at Santa Clara on Friday night. In that game, McNeese was out-rebounded by a 47-28 margin including 25-9 on the offensive glass. Santa Clara sank 12 of 31 from three-point range and outscored the Cowboys 36-12 from behind the arc.
• Biblical Studies is 1-7 on the season. McNeese is one of nine NCAA Division I opponents this year for the Ambassadors, having already lost to Rice (109-38), UTSA (97-30), and Prairie View A&M (95-48).
• ULL is 1-1 on the season and coming off a 58-52 home win over Southeastern on Friday. The Cajuns will host Tulane on Tuesday before coming to Lake Charles.

JOHNSON CONTINUES HOT START
• Four days after etching his name in the NCAA and McNeese record book with his 30-point debut last Monday, Larry Johnson ended the week with an 18-point performance at Santa Clara last Friday.
• In the opener, Johnson became the first Cowboy to score 30 points in making his collegiate debut.
• He's only the fifth freshman in school history to score 30 points in a game and the first since 1997 (Demond Mallet).
• According to OptaSTATS, Johnson is the only Division I men's or women's, NBA or WNBA player to score 30 points coming off the bench, without playing 20 minutes, without committing a turnover, without committing a foul, and without missing a free throw.
• For the week, Johnson averaged 24 points, hit 16 of 23 from the field for 70%, and connected on all 16 of his free throws, all coming off the bench.
• He averaged 19 minutes of action in the two games.

FRIENDLY CONFINES OF TOWNSLEY LAW ARENA
• McNeese has been nearly unbeatable in the Townsley Law Arena the last three seasons.
• Entering Monday's game, McNeese has compiled a 34-1 record at home with the only blemish coming at the hands of Santa Clara last December in a 7-point loss.
• McNeese has also led the Southland Conference in average attendance the last few seasons, selling out the arena multiple times.

THREE GAMES TO BE AIRED ON NATIONAL TV
• McNeese will play three regular season games on national TV this season, a record for most regular season games to be televised on linear television.
• Two of the games will be at home - Jan. 2 vs. Lamar (CBSSN) and Feb. 21 vs. Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (ESPNU) while a March 2 contest at Nicholls will also air on CBSSN.
• Last season, McNeese had two regular season games broadcast nationally – at Mississippi State and at Stephen F. Austin – both on ESPNU... It's conference tournament semifinal game against Northwestern State also aired on ESPNU while the championship contest versus Lamar was shown on ESPN2... The NCAA Tournament First Round win over Clemson was broadcast on TruTV while the second round game against Purdue aired on CBS for a total of six nationally broadcast games.
• McNeese can match that number, or better it, with a run in the postseason again.
