LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's basketball (8-4, 2-1 SLC) will conclude its Texas road trip on Wednesday, Dec. 31 with a 2 p.m. Southland Conference game at Houston Christian (4-6, 2-1 SLC).  The game will be the final game of 2025.  The game will stream on ESPN+.

McNeese is coming off a 74-53 road win at Incarnate Word on Monday.  The Cowgirls enter Wednesday's game having won five of their last seven games.

Houston Christian will look to snap a two-game losing streak after a 70-47 loss at Nicholls on Dec. 18 and a 62-42 loss at Rice on Dec. 20.  The Huskies conference wins came against New Orleans (Nov. 26) and Southeastern (Dec. 12).

Freshman Dakota Howard, who is coming off a 20-point that tied her career high against UIW, is one of two Cowgirls averaging in double figures.  Howard leads the team with 11.9 ppg., 27 steals, and is second on the team with 5.5 rpg.  Senior Arianna Patton is second on the team in scoring with 10.1 ppg. 

Senior Lexi Alexander continues to lead the team with 5.9 rpg.  Jalencia Pierre leads the Cowgirls with 42 assists.

HCU is led by Grace Booth, who leads the Huskies in both scoring (13.0 ppg.) and rebounds (8.4 rpg.)  Kamryn McLaurin is averaging 12.8 ppg.
