TEMPE, Ariz.— Kaili Chamberlin scored a career high 17 points to lead McNeese women's basketball to a 63-42 win over Nevada here Saturday on the final day of the Briann January Classic. With the win, McNeese improves to 6-3 while Nevada falls to 4-5 overall.  
 
Joining Chamberlin in double figures was Dakota Howard who finished the game with 12 points.
 
 
The Cowgirls jumped out to an early 6-4 lead before going on an 11-0 run to extend its lead to 17-4 late in the first quarter.
 
McNeese held a 37-21 halftime lead behind a 57 percent field goal shooting percent.  The Cowgirls scored 25 of their first half points off 16 Nevada turnovers.  Most of those turnovers lead to layups for the Cowgirls.
 
Dakota Howard scored 10 first half points and Kaili Chamberlin had nine points at the half.
 
The Cowgirls opened the second half on a 13-2 run to extend its lead to 24 (50-23) and held as much as a 27-point lead in the third quarter.
 
The Cowgirls will return to action on Dec. 12 to host East Texas A&M in its Southland Conference opener.

• McNeese took the early 6-2 lead with Dakota Howard scoring four of the first six Cowgirl points
• McNeese went on an 11-0 run to lead 17-4

• McNeese continued to build on its lead and held a double digit lead for most of the quarter
• The Cowgirls outscored the Wolf Pack 20-15 in the quarter to hold its largest lead of the game (16 points) at this point  
• Dakota Howard ended the half with 10 points while Kaili Chamberlin had nine first half points
• McNeese shot 57% from the field in the first half and scored 25 of their points off 16 Nevada turnovers.
HALFTIME: McNeese 37, Nevada 21
 
3rd QUARTER
• Opened the half on a 13-2 run to lead 50-23
• Took its first 20-point lead on a three-pointer by Arianna Patton
• Outscored the Wolf Pack 17-13 in the quarter
 
McNeese 54, Nevada 20
 
4th QUARTER
• McNeese continued to keep at least a 20-point lead to pick up the win
