WBB: McNeese Travels To UNO For First Meeting This Season

LAKE CHARLES— McNeese and UNO women's basketball will play each other for the first time this season on Saturday with one team snapping its losing streak.  Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at the Lakefront Arena.  The game will broadcast on ESPN+ and on the McNeese Radio Network (Talk Radio 1470 and talk1470.com).
 
McNeese (8-17, 3-11 SLC) will look to snap a five-game losing streak after falling 65-45 at league leading Southeastern Thursday night.
 
The Cowgirls will be without their leading scorer (Paris Guillory) for the third straight game.  Guillory was averaging 15.4 ppg.  Mireia Yespes, the Cowgirls leading rebounder returned to the court at Southeastern after missing 5 1/2 games.  The last Cowgirl win was a 59-54 road win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Jan. 27.
 
UNO (2-21, 2-12 SLC) will look to snap a six-game losing streak after its 72-59 home loss to Nicholls on Thursday.  The Privateers two wins of the season were back-to-back wins against East Texas A&M in overtime on Jan. 18 and a 65-55 win against HCU on Jan. 25.
 
UNO leads the series 26-18 and both teams have each won five games apiece in the last 10 meetings with UNO winning both games last season.
