LAKE CHARLES—McNeese women's tennis will host UIW in its Southland Conference opening match at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 10 at the Nancy Hank Tennis Center.
 
McNeese (12-3, 0-2 SLC) will be looking to pick up its first Southland Conference win of the season while the Cardinals (3-6, 1-0 SLC) will look to improve to 2-0 in league play.
 
Freshman Salome Fluri leads the Cowgirls with a 12-2 singles record at No. 1 while Ana Hollweg and Ariane Monlleo-Sanchis are both 10-4 on the season.
 
The No. 1 doubles team of Fluri and Stella Rundova are 8-3 on the season while Hollweg/Elena Morales, the No. 3 doubles team is 7-2 overall.
 
The Cowgirls' scheduled match against Lamar this past Saturday was postponed due to weather and will be rescheduled for a later day.
